We're Staying in Utah!

People have wondered, "When is DeAnn going to go live with Scott?" Some people have even thought our house was up for sale. But we have decided we are staying in Utah! This is our reasoning: I need to get a full time job wherever we would end up moving. If I get a full time job in Arizona, we'd be apart for 6 months of the year (during the most miserable hot part of the year for me in Arizona). If I get a full time job in Wyoming, we'd also be apart for 6 months of the year (during the most miserable cold part of the year in Jackson). If I get a full time job here, I get to see Scott for several days every 2 weeks or so. Travel is too costly and difficult getting from Jackson to Scottsdale and Scottsdale to Jackson. But Utah is right in the middle and only 3 1/2 hours from Jackson. Scott frequently flies back and forth (between Jackson and Scottsdale) through the Salt Lake airport and stops in at home in the process. He also drives up from Jackson every other Saturday night and leaves on Monday after he has had his blood thinness checked (his doctor is here because doctors are better here than in Jackson). We also own our home, and cost of housing in either location would be less house for more money. We've been living this way for 3 years now, and have realized it works for us. Scott has traveled very frequently all during our married life, so we have been used to it from the beginning. Many people say they would not be able to live that way. But for us it works. I also have more opportunities for employment in Utah.

That's the logistics of it. But the most important aspect of our decision is that it felt right to both of us. Now the next step is for me to get a job.
